BERLIN / KONSTANZ, 21 June 2026. ORCRIST Technologies GmbH has announced its investment in HIGHCAT GmbH. The two companies are combining their core expertise in military reconnaissance and AI-driven sensor-data fusion. Founded in Konstanz in 2023 by Dominik Faißt (CEO) and Jan Hartmann (CTO), HIGHCAT GmbH develops and manufactures unmanned aircraft systems, specialised sensors and control software. The company focuses on solutions designed to withstand electronic warfare.

Connecting aerial reconnaissance and data analysis

The partnership expands ORCRIST’s ability to collect data directly from the air. While the Orcrist Intelligence Platform analyses and connects large streams of heterogeneous data in real time, HIGHCAT provides high-resolution optical data and thermal imagery directly from the source.

HIGHCAT’s drone systems, including the OCELOT model, were developed specifically for modern hybrid-conflict environments and tested under real-world laboratory conditions in Ukraine. Fibre-optic control approaches and interference-resistant transmission methods allow the systems to remain fully operational even in environments subject to heavy electronic disruption.

Until now, ORCRIST’s software platform has primarily accessed data held by external sensors. The partnership connects hardware-based collection at the front line directly with intelligent data analysis, creating an end-to-end capability from collection to the operational picture.

European supply chains and independence

HIGHCAT consistently relies on European suppliers and production in Germany. Avoiding critical components from third countries protects against unintended data leakage and maintains operational availability when global supply chains are disrupted. The investment marks another step in the expansion of the Vektor Group technology ecosystem.
