BERLIN / LEIPZIG, 28 July 2026. ORCRIST Technologies GmbH has acquired Lancelot Systems GmbH, based in Leipzig. The acquisition adds a specialist module for video and open-source intelligence analysis to the Orcrist Intelligence Platform (OIP).
Perception as a capability gap
Autonomy in reconnaissance is determined not by the carrier system, but by perception. When navigation signals are jammed and radio links are interrupted, a system must be able to infer what lies ahead from imagery alone. Lancelot Systems develops computer-vision-based analysis and the evaluation of publicly available sources for precisely this task.
About the company
Lancelot Systems was founded in Leipzig in April 2025 and is registered with Leipzig District Court under HRB 43995. Its corporate purpose is the development of software and hardware solutions. The founder and managing director is Merlin Hipp. According to information from the company reported by specialist publication Resilience Media in February 2026, the models were trained on around ten million video recordings from real combat operations, collected from publicly accessible channels and stored on European servers.
Role within the ecosystem
The module extends the group’s capability chain from collection and fusion through to the operational picture. The Leipzig location will remain and be integrated technically into the platforms. The parties have not disclosed details of the transaction.
