DRESDEN, 3 March 2026. CIVITAS Europe GmbH has announced its official establishment in Dresden. The company was created as an independent member of Vektor Group to reflect the legal separation between civil protection and military defence. While its sister company ORCRIST Technologies operates in external security, CIVITAS is aligned with the requirements of German criminal procedure and state police laws.
Capabilities of Civitas Sentinel
The core product is the Civitas Sentinel software interface. It structures unstructured data from investigations, including cases involving organised crime and cybercrime. Civitas Sentinel combines sources such as encrypted-messenger transcripts, audio and video files, and movement data in a single interface. Integrated analysis tools transcribe speech automatically and prepare data streams for evaluation. Open interfaces connect the software to common police systems and complement existing IT infrastructure.
Data protection and operating models
Compliance with German and European data-protection and governance standards is central to development. Civitas Sentinel is used only in relation to a specific case and categorically excludes uncontrolled mass-data collection, predictive policing and automated decisions. Every analytical step is logged without gaps and supported by provenance records for reports suitable for use in court. The system runs directly on customer infrastructure, on premises or air-gapped, in accordance with the GDPR and the XPolizei standard.
